Have you had the experience of gathering your team together to enthusiastically develop a detailed plan for some high priority initiative, only to get to the starting gate and no one is behind you? Planning for significant change can be fulfilling because it allows you to walk through the steps and experience the vision of achievement without actually enduring the long hours and challenges that actually occur. At some point you have to dip that foot in the water and start executing your well developed plan in order to reap the benefits. Failing to take that next step firmly can sow disastrous consequences.
